WELCOME
Whilst we all expect our bodies to be hitting and exceeding goals visually right from the outset of taking up an exercise program it doesn't quite happen that way.
Yes, we can slowly start losing weight from week two on but our body really doesn't start taking shape until around the two to three month period.
That doesn't mean goals are not being reached, internally your body is thanking you. The mostly ignored changes, are the most important changes that can happen to our bodies, and through my training and fitness studio these are the goals I would like to focus on.
We all like to lose weight, tone up or gain muscle mass but it’s what changes are being made internally, is what adds years on to our lives.
Changes like increased capillary density and networking allowing more blood to reach muscles, increased mitochondria which are the powerhouse of organelles. This increase can help produce more ATP which we in turn break down for energy.
Our heart grows stronger lowering our heart rate but allows us to pump more blood per single pump. This helps us control hypertension. With the increased supply of oxygen our brains respond by sharpening our focus and concentration, so all over we feel better about ourselves and what we can achieve.
There are many more changes happening internally all culminating in cardiovascular fitness, and with this we can achieve our visual goals such weight loss and toned muscles at a much greater rate.
